Relief through migration

In densely populated highlands and arid regions the massive damage caused by excessive use of land by a population struggling to survive is already apparent today. Where the carrying capacity is already exceeded, only migration can help to restore sustainability. If small-scale, local processing industries,
are not possible, then education for the purpose of improving job prospects after migration is not only useful but also a necessary measure to reduce the pressure of people on the land. Migration to cities and the promotion of such migration are not taboo but, rather, a necessity under certain circumstances.
